A Wetaskiwin RV Park is a finalist for a competition judging public restrooms across Canada.

Westview RV Park, located just off of Highway 13 near the County of Wetaskiwin offices, is one of the top five in the 2020 Canada’s Best Restroom contest.

The contest is hosted by Cintas Canada, Ltd. who will award the first-place winner of the contest with $2,500 in facility services from Cintas and a Cintas UltraClean restroom cleaning service to help maintain the award-winning washroom.

Nominees were judged based on cleanliness, visual appeal, innovation, functionality and unique design elements.

Part of what helped Westview RV Park’s restrooms make top five in the contest is their epoxy floors that are textured for less slips and all corners are rounded for ease of cleaning. Co-owner Carol Crick says that these features in addition to their large concrete countertops and tiling makes their RV park restroom stand out.

The five finalists include: Bicycle Thief in Halifax, Hawthorn Dining Room in Calgary, Leña Restaurante in Toronto, Westview RV Park in Wetaskiwin, and Yorkdale Shopping Centre in Toronto.

Voting for the contest is still open to the public until August 14, 2020. Votes can be submitted through bestrestroom.com/Canada.
