Wetaskiwin Salvation Army Food Bank receives $10,000 donation

Major Don Grad of the Wetaskiwin Salvation Army Food Bank accepted $10,000 from Medavie Health Services West on behalf of the food bank Nov. 5, 2020.

Medavie Health Services is the parent company of Guardian Ambulance Ltd. Which provides the ambulance service in Wetaskiwin.

“We are thrilled that Medavie Health Foundation recognizes the long standing relationships Medavie Health Services West has developed in our communities through our long history of providing EMS to this region,” said General Manager with Medavie Health Services West, John Barry.

“The work of the Wetaskiwin Salvation Army Food Bank is critical to many during these difficult times and supporting the work of the food bank directly aligns with the values of Medavie as a whole. We are extremely proud to present this donation of $10,000 to this program”

The donation to the Wetaskiwin Salvation Army Food Bank is part of Medavie’s $5 million COVID-19 response fund. Medavie established their COVID-19 response fund to help communities across Canada address their immediate needs during this pandemic as well as assist in recovery efforts for organizations that are providing essential services.
