With playoff season in full swing and a roster full of away games and afternoon schedules this weekend, Millet Minor Hockey Association (MMHA) has decided that instead of a previously booked Saturday morning ice time going to waste, they wanted to give the community a shot at some hockey.
“Other MMHA teams are away or already have scheduled game time and can not be used, so donating to the town for shinny,” says MMHA.
MMHA says the hope with extra ice time for community members will attract more to play hockey for Millet.
The ice time is open to all community members, with the aim being a pick-up game of shinny taking place, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Saturday March 19 at the Millet Agriplex Arena.
