New Norwood girls golf team swings their way to silver at provincials

Four golfers from New Norway School competed over Sept. 26 and 27 at this year’s ASAA Golf Provincials.

The Senior High School Girls Golf team consisting of Jessica Brown, Alyssa Lundstrom, Aryana Lundstrom and Julie Snider were supported by their families and coach Jon Lindstrand over two days of intense competition at the Highwood Golf and Country Club in High River, Alta.

The girls rose to the challenge and swung their way into a provincial silver medal.

Lindstrand says that this year the ASAA provincials had a record number of golfers with 85 female and 131 male golfers with teams from every corner of the province in attendance.
