Original story continues below

Beaumont RCMP members are continuing to search for Beaumont resident Treasa Lynn Oberly who has now not been seen in eight days.

Oberly, 40, was last seen on the morning of July 14 in the Beaumont area. Her family and friends have told the investigators that she has medical conditions which do require medication.

This has caused increased concern for her well-being, given the amount of time that has passed.

In an effort to locate her, RCMP as well as Search and Rescue will be conducting a ground search of areas in south Beaumont. Citizens are asked to remain clear of the search operations while they are underway.

A previous request to the public for assistance to locate Oberly described her as having brown hair. Investigators have learned that shortly before she was reported missing, she had dyed her hair to a sandy-blond colour. Oberly is described as:

- having a fair complexion;

- 5’6”;

- approximately 350 lbs.;

- sandy blond hair with blue eyes

She also has a tattoo on her wrist of the name Andrew, is known to wear glasses, and was last seen wearing a blue flower shirt and black pants.
