Booster doses of COVID-19 vaccines available at the Wetaskiwin Community Health Centre

Booked COVID-19 immunization appointments are now available in the City of Wetaskiwin for residents five-years and older.

Starting the week of January 16, 2022, eligible Albertans not yet fully immunized or seeking a booster dose of a COVID-19 vaccine can book Moderna or Pfizer appointments at the Wetaskiwin Community Health Centre.

Appointments for a first, second, or third dose can be booked through the Alberta Vaccine Booking System or by calling health link at 811.

In a release about the vaccination appointment options, Alberta Health Services (AHS) said, “please do your part in helping keep our community as safe as possible.”

“All eligible Albertans are encouraged to protect themselves and others by being immunized as soon as possible.”

The following dates are available to book a vaccination at the Wetaskiwin Community Health Centre:

• January 18, 19, and 20 from 9 a.m. to noon for adult Pfizer;

• January 19, 20, and February 3 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for pediatric Pfizer for children five to 11 years of age;

• And January 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for adult Moderna.

There are no drop-in appointments available at this site.

Those attending the clinic are asked to bring their Alberta Health Care card if they have one and photo ID with them. Albertans under the age of 18-years will need to bring a parental consent form or provide staff at the clinic with a number to call a parent/ guardian to obtain consent if the parent/guardian is unable to accompany them.
