Break and enter to residence with robbery in Wetaskiwin

Wetaskiwin RCMP report several charged after home invasion, assault

On January 17th, 2018 at approximately 6:25 p.m., Wetaskiwin RCMP received a complaint of a home invasion.

The complainant was hiding in a closet and managed to call 911. Wetaskiwin RCMP attended an apartment on 50th Ave and located three suspects inside.

The suspects had knocked on the door and when it was opened, struck one of the victims in the head with a bat, sustaining minor injuries. The suspects then found the complainant and had all three people inside the apartment sit on the couch while they gathered their belongings to steal.

Police arrived and one suspect resisted arrest but was eventually restrained. During the altercation one of the suspects ran on foot, however, with the assistance of the Police Dog Service the suspect was tracked near by and apprehended.

The individuals arrested and charged are: Ryan BULECHOWSKY, 30 years old, no fixed address: Robbery, Break and Enter to Residence, Assault with a weapon, Resisting Arrest X 2 and Assault Peace officer, as well as numerous other charges.

Terry DAY, 36 years old, of Rimbey Alberta has been charged with Robbery, Break and Enter to Residence, Assault with a weapon, Resisting Arrest, Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose and Mischief.

Todd YEOMANS, 36 years old, of Red Deer Alberta has been charged with Robbery, Break and Enter to Residence, Assault with a weapon plus additional Breach charges. The suspects where known to the complainant.
