Breton RCMP investigate fatal collision

Two people have died as the result of a two vehicle collision west of Breton on Highway 616 and Range Road 43.

On Oct. 27, 2021, shortly before 5 p.m., Breton and Thorsby RCMP received the report of a multi-vehicle collision.

The detachments, along with the RCMP Criminal Collision Investigative Team (CCIT), Emergency Medical Services, the local fire department and STARS Air Ambulance attended the location.

Two vehicle occupants were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Breton RCMP continue to investigate this collision with the assistance of an RCMP collision reconstructionist.

The name and ages of the deceased will not be released.

Traffic flow is impacted in both directions along Hwy 616 between Range Road 43 and Range Road 44 with onsite detour signage at this time.
