Nine month program introduces kids to school

The Clear Vista Preschool in Wetaskiwin’s Clear Vista School has plenty of fun waiting for kids aged a minimum of 4 years, as they enjoyed a special Olympic activity Mar. 1.

Supervisor Grace Krook took the little ones on an Olympic parade tour of the school to great applause from students and staff. Then the kids enjoyed Olympic games in the library.

The Clear Vista Preschool, which accepts children who are 4 years of age by December, is a nine-month program that runs concurrent with the school year that offers fun and learning to the little ones.

Preschool is a great way to give your children an introduction to the school system and environment.

“We believe that every child is a unique person who, given the opportunity, will thrive in a learning environment filled with stimulating growth opportunities,” stated Krook in her brochure.

“Junior Kindergarten allows students to become accustomed to a school, its routines and facilitates a smooth transition into kindergarten.”

Some of the activities that kids enjoy include letter of the week, singing, rhyming, crafts, outdoor play and monthly themes, among many others.

One of the great benefits is that the preschool kids are part of the school community.

The preschool runs Monday to Friday, with varying times for morning and afternoon sessions.

There is no fundraising involved. The preschool charges a fee of $750 for the nine month term.
