Cool summer salads to live up those cook-outs

Dill weed, diced mushrooms and more for spectacular salads

Here are some interesting salads that will liven up those summer cook-outs.

Cucumber Salad with Sour Cream

4 med. sliced cucumbers

3 tbsp. Finely chopped onions

1 c. Sour cream

2 tbsp. Fresh or 2 tsp. Dry dill weed

2 tbsp. Vinegar

1 tbsp. Sugar

1 tsp. Salt

Mix, cover and chill for at least two hrs.

Creamy Vegetable Salad

1 head of cauliflower

2 c. Celery

1 c. Radishes

1 gr. Pepper

1 c. Diced mushrooms

1 c. Sour cream

1 c. Mayo

1 - 8 oz. Pkg. Creamed cheese

1 pkg. (Dry) Creamy Italian dressing mix

Break cauliflower into small chunks. Dice remaining vegetables into bite size pieces. Mix sour cream, mayo and creamed cheese. Add Italian dressing mix and blend. Pour over veg. and mix well. Make the night before. Keeps well.
