“Lights, camera, action,” will be a phrase four youth from Maskwacis will get to hear as part of a broadcasting media mentorship program at a daily talk show in Toronto from March 24-29.

The opportunity was a first of its kind for the Louis Bull Church and offered to youth of Maskwacis through 100 Huntley Street — a daily television show that is broadcasted on Yes TV, Global TV and GEB America.

Louis Bull Church Youth Leader Sarah Lahucik says that the community is behind the four youth: Kristie Littlechild,15, Jelina Threefingers,15, Lacey Threefingers,17, and Elena Threefingers, 15, who were selected to attend the media mentorship program based on their involvement and leadership in the church.

“We as a church are so excited to be given the opportunity to send our youth to something like this,” Lahucik said.

“It will be amazing for the youth to be able to explore what happens behind the scenes in a television studio and explore what kind of career options there are in the media.

“It means a lot to these girls to have this opportunity and to have a group of people supporting them and rooting for them in all of this,” Lahucik added.

The media mentorship program at 100 Huntley Street in Burlington, Ontario will teach the youth about conducting an interview, broadcasting plus they will also be given the opportunity to create their own media presentation.

“The girls are so thrilled to be able to go on this trip and most of them have not been given any opportunities to travel like this before so it’s a first for them,” Lahucik said.

The youth are expected to fundraise for their travel expenses. Anyone interested in assisting the girls’ travel expenses, please contact the Louis Bull Church.

100 Huntley Street is the longest running daily television show, which broadcasts the stories of people who have had life-changing Religious experiences.
