Great sugar plum recipe for this week

Feeling under the weather? Try omelette

This is an old recipe from the late Sixties or Seventies. It was all the go at holiday time.

Sugar plums

1 1/2 cups coconut

1 1/2 cups graham crumbs

I can eagle brand milk

2 pkg cherry jello powder.

Roll into balls and then roll in extra Jello powder!

Freeze and enjoy!

This is a good recipe when you need something different or if you are feeling under the weather.

My grandmother used to make it for us if we were sick.

French Omelette

1/3 C. milk

salt

pepper

3 egg yolks

1 tsp. butter

parsley

3 stiffly beaten egg whites

1 1/2 – 2 slices of bread broken into small pieces

Scald milk and set aside to cool.

When cooled add bread crumbs and other ingredient except for egg whites.

Beat egg whites stiff.

Fold milk mixture into egg whites.

Melt some butter in cast iron skillet. Add omelette mixture and fry until golden brown

On bottom side. ( Only takes a couple of mins. )

Place in oven at 350 F. until top is dry and golden brown.
