One man was arrested Sept. 25 in Leduc County after an alert citizen contacted police with the feeling something didn’t look right.
According to a press release from the Leduc RCMP detachment, “On September 25, 2018 Leduc RCMP with the assistance of Beaumont RCMP, crime reduction units, police dog services and air services helicopter responded to a complaint of a break and enter to a residence in Leduc County.
“A 30-year-old male was arrested on scene and transported to Leduc detachment. He has been released from custody with a court date of November 8th at 9:30 a.m. in Leduc.
“The second male fled the scene in a stolen vehicle. A warrant is being sought for this male.”
The RCMP said alert citizens helped in this arrest. “This is a great example of why we want the public to report suspicious activity,” says Leduc RCMP Cst. Bridget Morla. “One person thinking something did not look right and calling the police, led to us making this arrest.”
