Leduc RCMP charge male following assault with a weapon investigation

45-year-old male was in the victim’s home when he stabbed him with a knife.

Leduc, Alta. – On August 6, 2020 at approximately 10:30 p.m., Leduc RCMP responded to an assault complaint at a residence in the area of 48 Street and 47 Avenue.

A male suspect was in the home with the victim and stabbed him with a knife. The male victim was transported to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries and has since been released.

A 45-year-old male who is known to the victim was arrested by police at the residence and is facing a charge of Assault with a Weapon.

He is scheduled to appear in Leduc Provincial court on September 10, 2020.
