Leduc RCMP execute search warrant, recover stolen property

On February 28th, 2020, members of the Leduc RCMP Crime Reduction Unit with the assistance of the Leduc General Investigation Section and Leduc Drug Unit, executed a search warrant on a residence in the Willow Park Estates area of Leduc and arrested four people.

As a result of the search warrant, Leduc RCMP recovered stolen property including two medical bags, stolen identification and various tools. In addition, 2 grams of a substance suspected to be heroin were seized.

Irvin Lachance (58) of Brazeau County was charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance
  • Fail to comply with release order condition

He was released from custody after a judicial hearing and is scheduled to appear in Leduc Provincial Court on March 5, 2020.

Edward Wiley (42) of Leduc was charged with:

  • Uttering a forged document
  • Possession of property obtained by crime (x3)
  • Possession of a controlled substance (x2)
  • Fail to comply with release order condition (x2)

He was remanded into custody after a judicial hearing and is scheduled to appear in Leduc Provincial Court on March 3, 2020.

Jacqueline Brazel (48) of Leduc was charged with:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime (x2)
  • Possession of a controlled substance
  • Possession of instruments for making a forged document
  • Possession of stolen property for the purpose of trafficking

She was released from custody after a judicial hearing and is scheduled to appear in Leduc Provincial Court on March 26, 2020.

Leduc RCMP continue to investigate and more charges are pending.
