Leduc RCMP, fire services evacuate north side of Berg Loop

Gas leak reported, homes evacuated as precaution

Breaking news alert from Leduc RCMP:

October 1, 2018 at approximately 2:00 p.m. Leduc RCMP was dispatched to assist Leduc Fire Services with a gas leak in the City of Leduc.

Please note 38 Ave between Windrose and Blackstone is closed.

Houses on the North side of Berg Loop have been evacuated for precautionary measures. The closure is expected to last a couple of hours.

RCMP, Leduc Fire services and Alta Gas remain on scene and are asking the public to avoid the area.
