Leduc RCMP investigate fatal motor vehicle collision

On June 17, at 3:08 p.m., Leduc RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision at an uncontrolled intersection at Township Road 485 and Range Road 272 in Leduc County.

Early investigation has revealed an agriculture sprayer was travelling east bound on Township Road 485 and a passenger vehicle was travelling north bound on Range Road 272 when the vehicles collided.

The male driver of the agriculture sprayer, a resident of Leduc County, was uninjured.

The 47-year-old male, lone driver of the passenger vehicle, a resident of Leduc County, was pronounced deceased on scene by EMS.

The RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene and traffic was disrupted for some time. Leduc RCMP’s investigation into the cause of the collision continues.
