UPDATE: No water service in the Hamlet of Winfield

Boil water advisory in effect until further notice.

UPDATE: Water is back on in Winfield and the water trailer has now been removed from the Winfield area. A boil water advisory continues to be in effect until further notice.

Original Story:

June 3, 2020 — Currently there is no water service in the Hamlet of Winfield.

Utility crews are working to get the water system back in service as quickly as possible.

“A water trailers from Rebel Heart will be parked at the Winfield arena so residents have access to potable water. The tankard will have a garden hose set up so that jugs and containers can be easily filled. The tank should be ready for use by noon today. Please bring your own containers to fill with water,” a statement from Wetaskiwin County stated.

Once repairs have been completed a Boil Water Advisory is in effect until further notice.
