One man killed in rollover on #616 near Millet Sept. 4

Wetaskiwin RCMP respond to a single vehicle rollover fatal collision

Wetaskiwin RCMP are reporting one person was killed in a single-vehicle rollover collision Sept. 4.

According to Wetaskiwin RCMP spokesperson Cst. Catherine Hepburn, “On September 4, 2018 at 3:30 a.m. Wetaskiwin RCMP, Millet Fire Department and EMS were dispatched to a motor vehicle rollover which occurred on Highway 616 west of the Town of Millet.

“A damaged blue pickup truck was discovered in the ditch on arrival. The lone male driver of the vehicle was located deceased on scene.

“It is not believed that alcohol was a factor in the collision. The identity of the male will not be released as next of kin notification are still being completed.

“The scene has been released and no traffic delays are anticipated.”
