Its hard to believe March is almost done, and we only have just over six weeks until Achievement Day on Monday May 14, 2018.

Our club has had a busy start to the 2018. On January 27 some members attend and participated in the 4-H Judging competition at the Camrose Bull Congress. It was a fun day and we enjoyed meeting fellow 4-H members from all different clubs.

February 4 our club did their public speaking at Angus Ridge Hall. All the speeches were great! In juniors, Caleb Strohschein placed 1st and Easton Kinsley placed 2nd. In Intermediates Brooklyn Olson placed 1st and Seanna Shantz placed 2nd. In Seniors Karson Mathieu placed 1st and Avery Nelson placed 2nd. We are proud to share that Caleb placed 1st in Juniors at Districts.

On February 25 we had our “Christmas Party” outdoors at the Shantz’s cabin. It was a lot of fun sledding, skidooing and playing in the snow.

On March 11 we did our calf tour. This is always fun driving from farm/acreage to farm/acreage … we just about went to the edge of the County of Wetaskiwin boundaries in all directions. It is so cool to see everyone’s projects and we finished off with a wiener roast at the Boeve’s.
