ORIGINAL STORY

Camrose County, Alberta – The RCMP responded to a two vehicle collision today at 12:20 p.m. on Highway 21, just north of Highway 616.

A pick-up truck collided with a transport truck. Traffic on Highway 21 is being diverted in both directions. The southbound lanes are diverted at Range Road 213 and the northbound lanes are diverted at Highway 616.

It is anticipated that the area will be impassable for several more hours due to debris, and diesel on the road. Crews are on scene to remove debris from the highway and more crews are expected to attend for assistance. Commuter traffic is likely to be impacted by the delays on the highway.

The driver of the pick up has been transported to an Edmonton hospital via air ambulance with undetermined injuries. The driver of the transport truck was not injured.

An update will be provided by the RCMP when available.
