Here’s two recipes that would be great for parties or entertaining.
Marinated Cucumbers, Onions and Tomatoes
3 medium cucumbers peeled and sliced ¼ inch thick
1 med onion sliced and separated into rings
3 med. tomatoes cut in quarters
½ c. vinegar
¼ c. sugar
1 c. water
2 tsp salt
1 tsp fresh ground pepper
¼ c. oil
Combine and mix well. Refrigerate for at least two hrs before serving.
Cherry Cha Cha
1st layer: Crumb Crust
1 pkg graham crumbs
2 cup melted butter
1 tbsp sugar
Mix together and put two of the crumb mixture into a large cake pan.
2nd layer: marshmallow cream
2 pkg dream whip
1 pkg miniature marshmallows
Whip the dream whip according to package directions. Fold the miniature marshmallows into the dream whip. Put 1/2 of the mixture on top of the crumb crust and save the other 1/2 for the final layer.
3rd Layer: Cherry Filling
1 can cherry pie filling
Spread the cherry pie filling on top of the marshmallow mixture.
Then top with the remaining marshmallow cream mixture and top with the remaining crumbs.
Put in freezer for 1 hour, then refrigerate till ready to serve.
