Thorsby RCMP

On November 26, 2016 at 8 p.m. the Thorsby/Breton RCMP, Brazeau County Fire Services, and EMS responded to a single vehicle collision on Highway 39 and Range Road 52 near Breton, Alberta.

A late model Ford pick-up had lost control and rolled into a guard rail.

On arrival it was discovered an 8 year old child had succumbed to her injuries as a result of the collision. The female driver also had significant injuries and was transported to an Edmonton area hospital for treatment.

With the assistance of the RCMP Collision analyst, the collision remains under investigation by the Thorsby/Breton RCMP. It is unknown at this time if alcohol or weather were factors in this collision.
