Officers from the Wetaskiwin RCMP detachment have concluded an investigation regarding an assault stemming from an incident reported on June 17.
In the incident, officers received word that a 26-year-old resident of Maskawcis had been assaulted in an apartment on 54 Street.
The individual had been airlifted to an Edmonton-area hospital by STARS with serious injuries.
Upon investigating the assault, officers determined that the individual had been in a confrontation with the suspect and had been struck with "several weapons."
Following the investigation, the Wetaskiwin RCMP has charged Bobby Larenze Bull, 24 years old and also of Maskwacis, with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, multiple instances of failing to comply with a release order, and multiple instances of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The Wetaskiwin RCMP has been unable to locate Bull and an arrest warrant has been issued for this, and other non-related matters.
