On July 26 at 7:26 p.m., Wetaskiwin RCMP received a report of a possible attempted child abduction.
Investigators were advised that seven-year-old and 15-year-old youths were walking on a side street in Pigeon Lake when they were approached by a woman who exited her vehicle and started to speak to them.
After a short conversation, the woman grabbed the seven-year-old. The child was able to break free and both youths ran away.
After continued investigation, police have been able to obtain a photo of a potential suspect vehicle as well as a composite sketch of the female suspect who is described as:
· fair complexion
· 40’s-50’s in age
· 180-190 lbs
· approximately 5 foot 6 inches tall
· long to mid-shoulder length grey hair
· very vibrant blue eyes
· small hairs around the mouth and chin
· wearing a long black coat.
RCMP are providing a photo of a vehicle seen in the area at the time of the offence that is believed to be driven by the suspect.
The vehicle depicted is described as a 2015-2018 Blue Ford Edge.
