Wetaskiwin RCMP investigate liquor store armed robbery

Store clerk not injured in robbery incident

Wetaskiwin RCMP are investigating the complaint of an armed robbery at the Gentleman’s Liquor Store in Wetaskiwin.

At approximately 9:15 p.m. on Oct. 14 a male suspect entered the liquor store and requested the price of a bottle of liquor then brandished a knife, demanding that the clerk give him the bottle. The suspect fled with a bottle of liquor.

Video surveillance shows a second male waiting outside the liquor store. Both males left on foot.

The liquor store clerk was not injured during the incident.

The RCMP received this complaint following a time delay and the males were not located. The public is being asked to assist with identifying these males; one directly involved and one who is considered a person of interest in this incident.
