Apr 29, 1941 - Jan 31, 2018
On January 31, 2018, Clifford (Cliff) Camille Meyer died peacefully on his acreage near Falun, Alberta, surrounded by his adoring children and loving partner, after losing his heroic battle with cancer.

Cliff spent his early life as a farmer and dairy farmer and began his professional career as a labourer and worked his way up to be Vice President of two major industrial supply companies. His career took him as far as Moncton NB, and allowed him to travel the world.

Cliff was predeceased by his mother and father, Wilfred and Olive Meyer.

He is survived by his three children, daughter Lee Leavitt of Las Vegas, son Darcy Meyer of Seattle, daughter Verle McConkey of Edmonton, and partner Ellie Zittlau; 11 grandchildren and four great grand children. He is also survived by his sister Fern Killeen and brother Lloyd Meyer; four nephews and one niece and their families.

Cliff began playing guitar at 8 years old, and spent his life playing and singing. He played countless shows at weddings, anniversaries, and nearly every other type of celebration in Alberta over 68 years. He was the leader of two Major Bands in the area, Night Riders, and Barbwire and Roses. His song book has more than 500 pieces of music, from 1930s to today.

He has touched 1000's of lives with his music and shows. His music has made us dance, has made us sing together, and has brought us closer together as friends and family. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
