Donald Henry Friesen

April 30, 1947 - July 1, 2019
On July 1, 2019 Don Friesen of Mirror, AB passed away at the age of 72 years. Don leaves to mourn, and carry on his legacy his loving wife Joanne, his 4 children: Jason (Quinn), Richard (Ashley), Curtis (Sherry), and Amy (Steve) and 11 grandchildren: Thalion, Celia, Seth, Caleb, Joshua, Bailey, Kelsie, Braden, Karley, Asher, and Tobi, and his brother Vic (Darlene) as well as many relatives, countless friends, the 53 foster children and many "borrowed" children. His love has reached far and wide and will continue to grow as we share our memories of this very special man.
Don started work at Cominco in Trail BC in 1976 and worked for 26 years until his retirement in 2002 and was the interim pastor at Kinnaird Church of God in Castlegar BC.
A Graveside service with open casket will be held on Monday, July 15, 2019 at 10:30 am at Mirror Cemetery, 1 km north of Mirror AB on Highway 21 followed by a celebration of Don's life at Deer Valley Meadows Camp at 1:00 pm, 39017 Range Rd 230, south of Alix AB off highway 11.
