It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Doreen Isabella Kasur on February 16, 2022.
Doreen leaves to mourn, her sons, Kent and Rick; grandchildren, Dustin (Lisa), Allen (Lori), Sheneen (Shea), Rachel, and Derek; great-grandchildren, Kolby and Rowdy; brothers, George and Bob: sister, Marilyn; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
Doreen was born on September 28, 1933 in Mannville, Alberta. She came to Wetaskiwin in 1960 where she worked as a telephone operator. It was here that she met and married her husband, Ken Kasur and they were married in November 1962. Doreen worked beside her husband on the family farm until retirement.
Doreen retired to the Peace Hills Lodge until her health issues required that she move to the Long Term Care, where she spent her remaining days.
Doreen was predeceased by her husband Ken; as well as her parents, Jim and Waneta Bennett and her brothers, Gary and Bruce.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Zion Lutheran Church Wetaskiwin, Alberta.
