It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George Sven Sjogren on August 8, 2021 at the age of 93. George will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Joyce; his family, Martin (Phyllis) Sjogren, Maureen (Severyn) Zomber, Mary Ann Sjogren-Branch (Jay), Marshall Sjogren; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Sjogren; step-children, Don Sharpe, Peter (Sue) Sharpe; son-in-law, Doug Barry; grandchildren, Matthew (Ashley) Sjogren, Melissa (Ryan) Bazar, Michelle (Matthew) Supria, Amy Johnson, Ashley Johnson (Tom), Bennett Branch, Kaitlyn (Ben) Simaluk, Morgan Barry, Joscelyne Barry (Andrew), Brandon Sharpe (Alyssa), Breanne Sharpe (Dan), Dylan Sharpe; eight great grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, and relatives in Sweden.
George was predeceased by his parents, Sven and Hedvig Sjogren; first wife, Mary Ellen; sister and brother-in-law, Eleanora and Gus Tabler; brother, Henry; son, Murray; step-daughter, Linda Barry; mother and father-in-law, Jean and Joff Stewart.
A celebration of George's life will be held at a later date. The immediate family will have a private burial. Thank you to all who assisted, worked, and played with him during his life. His Motto: "Keep a Song in Your Heart"
In memory of George, donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) or charity of your choice.
