April 4, 1941 - August 9, 2021
It is with great sadness that we mourn the sudden loss of Howard Knapp, early on the morning of August 9, 2021.
Howard was the 10th child born to Martin and Rosalie Knapp in April of 1941. The family homesteaded in the Churchill District near Barrhead, Alberta. After leaving the farm Howard drove gravel and logging trucks. He also helped his brother install power to many towns in Manitoba.
He finally settled on a career in the oil/pipeline industry. He drove trucks and busses and mainly operated heavy equipment there for 40 years.
Howard will be remembered for his caring, loving, outgoing personality and his great love of fun. His family will remember him as a being the best husband, father and grandfather that we could have hoped for.
A Memorial service will be held at the Wiesenthal Baptist Church, 48175 Range Rd 253, Leduc County (do not use Google to get you there) on Friday, August 20, 2021 at 2 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Millet Food Bank or to the Salvation Army.
