Judy was born at Elnora, Alberta on September 27, 1941 and passed away at home on May 20, 2025.

Judy grew up in the Three Hills, Alberta area and was the second youngest of 7 children.

She met Don while working at a café in Faraway, AB - he was working oilfield construction and would come into the café for dinner. They married in December 1958 and eventually settled on their farm west of Winfield. Judy stayed at home with the kids and helped out on the farm, even getting on the tractor and raking hay. In 1979, she began her career as a school librarian, and later on, secretary atWinfield School until her retirement in 2007. Judy was an active member of the Winfield Community, volunteering her time with the Winfield Ag. Society, the West Pine Lodge and the Conroy Club where she had close relationships with many of the ladies involved.

Judy leaves to mourn her passing, sons, Dean (Glenda), Donnie (Ellen); daughter, Crystal (Kevin); 6 grandchildren, Clancy (Jocelyne), Ethan (Sarah), Cale (Mikala), Kaitlyn (Kirt), Chantelle (Braydon), Josee (Cam); 8 great-grandchildren, Atticus, Bodhi, Callum, River, Xander, Cirilla, Beau, Paislee; siblings, Rita Clare, Bill Armstrong, Gary Armstrong; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.

Judy was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Don; parents, Maxine and Thomas Armstrong; step-father, Ron Minks; brothers, Pat and Bud Armstrong; sister, Janet Gregor; and great-grandson, Theo Goodkey.

There will be a private family gathering at her request. In memory of Judy, donations may be made to Warming Hearts (Box 6826, Drayton Valley, AB T7A 1S2) or Winfield Community Library (Box 360 Winfield, AB T0C 2X0).
