In Loving Memory ~
It is with great sadness that the family of Lenora announce her passing on Valentine's Day in Barrie, Ontario. She was born on the family farm and attended Falun Elementary School and Wetaskiwin Composite High School. She received her teaching degree in Calgary and subsequently taught at Lakedell and Falun schools for a brief time.
In 1958, Lenora married Grant Grams and moved to the Toronto area where they both taught secondary school until their retirement.
Lenora was full of creativity and talent and threw all her energy into everything in which she engaged. She directed church productions and school plays for many years. As a skilled seamstress, she sewed costumes and hand-stitched quilts.
Lenora enjoyed decorating and flower arranging and created beauty in everything she touched. She was also an exceptional hostess and loved to entertain and visit.
She will be dearly missed by five children: Randall Grams, Wynette (Robert) Morley, Deldyn (Melinda) Grams, Valere Grams, Trevore (Rosalyn) Grams and seven grandchildren; a sister, Gladys (Gordon) Erickson and family, and brother, Conrad Heistad and family; also, many of Grant's family including Hedy (Alvin) Klause and family, Gary (Judy) Grams and family; cousins, friends and former students.
She was predeceased by her husband Grant (2012) and grandson, Kent Grams; parents Henry and Deborah Heistad.
"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed upon Thee:
because he trusteth in Thee. Trust ye in the Lord forever; for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength."
Isaiah 26: 3,4
