February 13, 1947 - July 18, 2021
Lucia, better known as Lucy, was born in Fauquier, Ontario, February 13, 1947. Sadly she passed away July 18, 2021 in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, after a battle with cancer.
On May 25 1963, Lucy married Philippe Larivee in Kapuskasing, Ontario. Together they had three sons, Daniel, Donald and Normand. After raising their children, Lucy worked in the dietary department in Ontario and Alberta hospitals.
Thereafter, Lucy managed apartment complexes with her husband. Later in her life, she went to work as a private housekeeper. She enjoyed working for her special clients as they were so good to her. Lucy had a hard time giving it up, but was forced to due to her illness.
Left to mourn Lucy are her children, Daniel (Roberta), Donald (Kathy), and Normand (Brenda) Larivee; along with her grandchildren, Jamie, Krystal (Colin), Patrick (Megan) and Melanie Larivee; including her siblings Lucien (Francoise) and Archille (Lynn) David.
Lucy leaves behind many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Philippe Larivee, mother Germaine Duquette, father Homer David, daughter-in-law Denise Larivee, and siblings Jean-Louie, Leo-Paul, Jeanne, Marie, Aime, Rose, Mariette, Cecile, Lionelle and Emile Gagnon.
As per Lucy's wishes, cremation and a private family gathering will take place. Donations in Lucy's memory are gratefully accepted to the Cross Cancer Institute.
