Peter Van Immerzeel

The family of Peter Frederick Van Immerzeel is sad to announce his very sudden passing on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at his home in Falun, AB.
Peter was born on June 7, 1949 in Wetaskiwin, AB to Pieter and Margaritha Van Immerzeel along with siblings Gerard 'Jerry' and Brenda.
Peter studied to be a heavy duty mechanic and started his career at Ford Power in Wetaskiwin. His other work ventures were at Texaco, Gulf and Macfam. On June 8, 1973 he married his sweetheart Lucie Bolton. They lived together on their farm in Falun where he was a dedicated farmer and also ran "Pete's Repair Shop" for years. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. You could always find Pete supporting his children/grandchildren at the hockey rink, ball diamond, soccer field, and 4-H shows.
Peter is survived by his wife Lucie, of 47 years: his children Jennifer (Brant) Cleland, Peter (Cheryl) Van Immerzeel, Julie (Karie) Kruetz: grandchildren Carter, Ellie, Jaryn, Peter Trace, Peyton, Zadie-Lynn, and Quinnley-Jayne. His brother Jerry (Linda) Van Immerzeel and sister Brenda (Marty) Prentice, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Peter was predeceased by his parents Pieter and Margaritha Van Immerzeel.
