On December 1, 2021, Sadie Irene (Dargatz) Buskas of Wetaskiwin passed away at the age of 103 and went home to be with her Lord and Savior.
Irene leaves to cherish her memory her loving family of two daughters, Marj (Dennis) Oscar and Marion (Ron) Oscar; six grandchildren, Fern Broz (Ken), Glenn Oscar (Tanya), Dale Oscar, Dean Oscar (Nick), Darryl (Tracey) Oscar, and Steven Oscar; ten great-grandchildren, Jared (Paige) Broz, Brandon (Brandy) Broz, and Nicholas Broz, Casandra (Nolan) Greenwall, Chase Kowalsky (Xyomara), Kristopher and Jeremy Oscar, Justin Oscar (Kalli), and Amber Oscar, and Megan Oscar; nine great-great-grandchildren, Evan Broz, Oliver Broz, Alexis, Emily, Bayne, and Finn Greenwall; CJ, Kiara, and Elaina Kowalsky, as well as one sister Myrtle Hanks.
Irene was predeceased by her husband Fred, parents Carl and Emily Dargatz, brother Marvin Dargatz, and great-granddaughter Naketa Oscar.
A private family funeral service was held on Monday, December 6, 2021 at Baker Funeral Chapel in Wetaskiwin. Interment followed at the Wetaskiwin Memorial Cemetery. Memorial tributes gratefully accepted to the Wetaskiwin Mission Church Building fund or to a charity of the donor's choice.
