Dear editor,
So another Christmas season is behind us. It sure does fly by! Christmas for me is bittersweet; I love it because we celebrate Christ's birthday, but on the other hand, it's a lonely time for me since my wife's passing.
I'm one lonely dude. The thing is, I'm not the only one. Many people have lost someone around this time of year and hearing the joyful sounds of people celebrating happily doesn't help the loneliness much at all.
When you see Christmas commercials on T.V., you see happy families, joyful celebrations - but they don't know the other side of the season.
Loneliness at this time of the year can really hurt.
