Dear editor,

“NDP leadership” didn’t campaign on a carbon tax, Bill 6, Bighorn parks, drug injection sites and more. Their response for everything seems to be blah, blah, blame Stephen Harper. Blah, blah, blame Ralph Klein, blah, blame Jason Kenney.

While reading a list of famous Homer Simpson quotes it was very apparent that his responses can replace NDP responses to questions or topics and probably no one would notice.

Notley on sexual harassment: (Home Simpson) “Remember that postcard Grandpa sent us from Florida of that alligator biting that woman’s bottom? That’s right, we though it was hilarious. But it turns out we were wrong. That alligator was sexually harassing that woman.”

Notley on how to get the economy going: (Home Simpson) “To start press any key. Where’s the ‘any’ key?”

Shannon Phillips on Bighorn Country: (Home Simpson) “Facts are meaningless. You could use facts to prove anything that’s even remotely true.”

Ceci on balancing the budget: (Home Simpson) “If something is hard to do, then it’s not worth doing.”

Sarah Hoffman on healthcare: (Home Simpson) “Excuse me doctor, I think I know a little something about medicine!”

Eggen on school subjects: (Home Simpson) “English, who needs that? I’m never going to England.”

Bruce Hinkley on Bill 6 or anything else: (Home Simpson) “I am so smart, I am so smart, s-m-r-t…I mean, s-m-a-r-t.”

Sandra Jensen on leaving politics: (Home Simpson) “That’s it. You people have stood in my way long enough. I’m going to clown college!”

Notley on why the carbon tax is good for Albertans: (Home Simpson) “We’ll be stealing from people we know. And there’s nothing wrong with hitting someone when his back is turned!”
