The Young at Heart expo provides a platform to explore, learn and connect with others.

Find tips about healthy aging, staying youthful at heart and try your hand at pickleball – it’s all possible at this year’s Young at Heart: Redefining Our Aging Years Expo!

Hosted by Black Press Media, the event takes centre stage at Red Deer’s Pidherney Curling Centre from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 1.

Celebrating the spirit of aging gracefully, the event will share insights into health trends, innovative products and expert advice on aging well.

The growing demographic of seniors in Canada underscores the importance of tailored products and services, notes Ranee Pal, Black Press Events Manager. The expo brings together leading experts and exhibitors like Hear Right Lacombe, Expedia Cruise Ships, The Denture and Implant Centre, Dream Sleep Respiratory, Caregivers Alberta, Heart to Home Meals, and many more to address the unique needs of seniors in Alberta.

“The number of people in Canada aged 85 and up has doubled since 2001, and will triple over the next 20 years,” Pal says. “Staying healthy is important now more than ever, and no matter your age, you’re sure to find something of interest at the Young at Heart Expo.”

Beyond information and resources, the Young at Heart Expo offers a fun-filled atmosphere where attendees can socialize, participate in activities like bingo and pickleball, and even win exciting prizes. With a focus on fostering connections and creating lasting memories, the event invites seniors to embrace the possibilities of their golden years.

The expo is open to the public and free of charge, making it accessible to all members of the community. Whether you’re embarking on a new journey after retirement or seeking to enhance your well-being, the Young at Heart event provides a platform to explore, learn and connect with others.
