It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Terry Smith after his long battle with cancer.
He is survived by his soulmate and life partner, Sandy Wright; his two sons, Todd Smith, Kyle (Angie) Smith; grandchildren, Emily (Reed), Sarah, Janie, Flynn; two sisters, Christine (Richard) Begin, Jacqui (Doug Stevenson) Smith; nephews, Jahren (Carly), Keegan, Soren (Jecoliah), Casey (Christa); niece, Katie (Pierce); Sandy's daughter, Kristine Wright; Sandy's son, Greg (Johanna) Wright; and grandchildren, Taeya and Kaesen.
Terry was predeceased by his father, Jack Smith; his mother, Helen Smith; first wife, Jenet Smith; and stepsons, Ken & Rob Hillborn.
The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at the Wetaskiwin Hospital (Station 35) and the Leduc Hospital (SCU) for the special care Terry was given.
A Celebration of Terry's Life will be held on Sunday, March 17 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ma-Me-O Beach Hall. A program of stories and tributes will be held at 2:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation or to the charity of your choice.
