Local car club, Loki’s Car Club, held their first local car show at Spruce View Car Wash Sunday Aug. 23, 2020.
Member of Loki’s Car Club, James Commet, says that, “it went terrific.” Commet says that approximately 50 to 60 cars showed up to park at the car wash for the day and show off.
The family friendly show is completely free to visit and a great way to spend time during COVID-19.
Commet says that “just seeing the smiles on peoples faces,” was worth the showing. He is excited that the Club will continue to bring these shows to the community for the foreseeable future.
“Wetaskiwin is a motor City,” Commet says. Anyone who wants to submit their car or be part of the show can—free of charge. Commet believes that anyone who puts that much money and energy into their vehicle should never have to pay to show it off.
Commet says that Loki’s Car Club plans to hold the car show every Sunday, weather permitting, at Spruce View Car Wash for as long as possible.
Anyone who wants to know more about the show/ car meet can reach out on the Loki’s Car Club Facebook page. Updates on events and dates will also be posted there.
