15 year old Nick McAvena, was awarded the Leduc Achievement Award at the January 13th Leduc City Council meeting. Nick was born with just one heart valve and had numerous
surgeries beginning at 9 weeks old, and due to complications ended up having to have a
tracheostomy as well. Overcoming these obstacles. Nick developed a love for football and now plays as #84 for the Leduc Bantam TiCats, constantly inspiring his teammates.
