Wetaskiwin Farmers Market is adapting to the pandemic shopping climate

With gatherings of 15 people or more banned by the Government of Alberta in efforts to minimize community transmission of the coronavirus, many local shops and vendors are getting creative with how they do business.

The Wetaskiwin Farmers Market is taking the challenge of social distancing during COVID-19 and making the effort to provide the services of their vendors in a safe way.

The pre-order and pop-up market that will be held at the Wetaskiwin Mall parking lot Wednesday, April 22 has been approved by Alberta Health Services and Alberta Agriculture.

The Market will be open from 3-5 p.m.

At this time only food and essential health products will be available at the market. Shoppers can message the vendor to pre-order their items and will be able to pick them up at the pop-up market on Wednesday.

Some of the Vendors include Gary the Egg Man, Mama G’s Jam, and A&A sausage among others.
