Leduc RCMP charge one man after armed robbery

One male is following multiple charges after being arrested for an armed robbery in the area of 54 Ave and 50 Street in Leduc, Alta., on April 10, 2022.

Leduc RCMP responded to the report of a robbery in progress at a business in the area at approximately 7 p.m.

The suspect had entered the business brandishing a weapon and stole and unknown quantity of goods.

RCMP responded to the area where they located and arrested the suspect outside of the business. Nobody was physically injured during the robbery.

Caleb John Tschetter, 26, of no fixed address has been charged with:

• Robbery;

• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose;

• Carrying a concealed weapon;

• And failure to comply with a release order.

Following a judicial hearing Tschetter was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Leduc provincial court on April 28, 2022.
