Water restriction in place for the City of Wetaskiwin

A stage 1 water restriction is in effect for the City of Wetaskiwin to conserve water resources.

On June 23, 2021 the City of Wetaskiwin implemented a stage 1 water restriction which will be in place until further notice as temperatures begin to climb towards a heat wave set to last into late next week.

Included in the water restrictions are restrictions on residential lawn watering, non-residential lawn watering, other residential watering, car, boat, and house washing, and surface and power washing.

Residential lawn watering

• Even numbered addresses water on Wednesdays and Saturdays between 4 a.m. to 9 a.m.;

• Odd numbered addresses water on Thursdays and Sundays between 4 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Non-residential lawn watering

• Even numbered addresses water on Mondays and Thursdays between 1 a.m. to 6 p.m.;

• Odd numbered addresses water on Tuesdays and Fridays between 1 a.m. to 6 a.m.

Other residential watering

• Shrubs, plants, and trees on both residential and non-residential properties can be watered any day of the week between 4 a.m. to 9 a.m., and 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.

• There are no restrictions on watering vegetable gardens.

Car, boat and house washing

• Even numbered addresses on Wednesdays and Saturdays any time with a spring loaded shut off nozzle;

• Odd numbered addresses on Thursdays and Sundays any time with a spring loaded shut off nozzle.
