Canada's 42nd federal election was announced earlier this month for Monday, Oct. 19.
The voters of the Edmonton-Wetaskiwin riding are among the voters of the county's 338 ridings that will take to the polls that day to elect the party and people they believe should have control.
As of Aug. 10 there were no official candidates registered for the Edmonton-Wetaskiwin riding. The nomination process for candidates closes Sept. 28 and an official list of candidates will be released Sept. 30.
