An RCMP spokesperson has confirmed another death from the collision near Millet Nov. 15.
“A second female driver has died as a result of injuries incurred in the collision which occurred on November 15, 2018 near Millet. Shortly after 6:32 p.m., RCMP with EMS, Fire, County Peace Officer and Sheriffs attended a two vehicle collision on Highway 2A,” stated Cpl. Laurel Scott in a press release.
“A van travelling south on Highway 2A collided with a car travelling north. The 68-year-old female driver of the car was pronounced deceased on scene.
“The 22-year-old driver and 15-year-old passenger in the van were both transported to hospitals, where later in the evening the driver succumbed to her injuries. The 15-year-old female passenger remains in the hospital with serious, but non life-threatening injuries.
“An RCMP collision analyst attended the collision scene, and the investigation into the cause of this collision remains ongoing. There will be no further update to this incident.”

A serious head-on collision occurred Thursday, Nov. 16 near Millet that left one person dead.
According to a press release from RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Laurel Scott, “The RCMP are investigating a two vehicle head-on collision which has left one female deceased.
“At 6:32 p.m. Nov. 15, the Wetaskiwin RCMP responded, with fire and emergency services, to the collision on Highway 2a and Township Road 471, near Millet.
“One of the vehicles involved had a sole occupant, a female who was declared deceased on scene. The other vehicle had a female driver and a female youth passenger, both of whom have been transported to the hospital.
“The RCMP collision analyst is on scene to conduct the investigation. Traffic is being detoured in both directions at the location and it is anticipated that the collision will not be cleared for at least three hours. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
“No further information is available at this time.”
