On Tuesday, October 15th, 2013 at approximately 11:11 a.m., the Leduc RCMP were dispatched to an Armed Robbery at the New Sarepta Tavern on Centre Avenue in New Sarepta, Leduc County Alberta. The Leduc City and Rural RCMP immediately attended to the call and were assisted by the Leduc Integrated Traffic Services, Leduc General Investigations Section and Police Dog Services.  Witnesses told officers that a Caucasian male, average height, possibly in his late 30’s to early 40’s, muscular build, clean shaven, deep laugh lines around his mouth and a large nose entered the tavern as the clerk was getting ready for the start of her shift. The man was wearing a black hoodie and black sunglasses and was said to be carrying a small firearm when demanding that the clerk hand over the cash in the till. See composite drawing and pictures.

The man was reported to have taken an undisclosed amount of cash as he ran from the tavern. RCMP believe that the Suspect may be traveling in a small silver or grey colour Chevrolet Cavalier, possibly a 2004 model. At this time, the RCMP are still investigating this incident and would like to ask the public to notify them if you have information about this robbery, and NOT to confront the suspect as he may be armed and dangerous.
