The Wetaskiwin Agricultural Society’s fourth annual Truck and Tractor Pull went off without a hitch on Aug. 19 and 20.

Guests of all ages arrived at the Wayne Vanouck Motorsports Track to enjoy the truck and tractor pulls, fireworks, live music and food trucks.

Event organizer and competitor Angela Vanouck estimates there may have been a record attendance for the event on Saturday.

Unlike previous years, the event hosted a children’s tractor pull, with roughly 40 children participating.

“It was super cute. It’s definitely something we’ll do every year now because it was such a big hit with kids,” said Vanouck.

Following the pulls on Aug. 19, guests enjoyed the beer garden and a performance by two-time Alberta Country Awards nominee Jamie Woodfin.

The next day, saw fireworks and a performance by Mourning Wood after the trucks and tractors finished.

Flossy Bumz freestyle motocross action also thrilled attendees on both days.
