Wetaskiwin RCMP have arrested two men after a break and enter into a fenced compound Mar. 21.
Police allege two suspects left the scene on foot and were caught by Wetaskiwin RCMP officers after breaking into a fifth wheel on an adjacent property.
At 1:35 am on March 21, RCMP were called to a commercial alarm in the 6000 block of 40th Avenue. Several members responded within a short time and located foot tracks on the south and west side of the chain link fence. A small hole had been cut into the fence. The tracks were followed northbound to a fifth wheel trailer on a neighbouring property where two male suspects were located and arrested without incident. One male was wearing a mask.
Two men have been charged in relation to the incident.
30 year old Christopher VOROS of Wetaskiwin faces the following charges:
- · Criminal Code 348(a)(a) – Break and enter with Intent X 2
- · Criminal Code 430(1)(a) – Mischief Under $5000 X 2
- · Criminal Code 351(2) – Where Disguise with Intent
- · Criminal Code 145(3) – Fail to Comply with Recognizance
42 year old Triston Makokis of Wetaskiwin faces the following charges:
- · Criminal Code 348(a)(a) – Break and enter with Intent X 2
- · Criminal Code 430(1)(a) – Mischief Under $5000 X 2
- · Criminal Code 351(1) – Possess Break in Instrument
- · Criminal Code 145(3) – Fail to Comply with Recognizance
- · Criminal Code 127(1) – Disobey court Order
- · CDSA 4(1) – Possession of Marihuana
Christopher VOROS was remanded for court in Wetaskiwin on March 28, 2017 at 8:30 am.
Triston MAKOKIS has been released on a recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court in Wetaskiwin on March 28, 2017 at 8:30 am.
